School's in Session

Day one 1st quarter. School is back in session after a week off. I checked the teachers board and I already know there is a ton of homework. Yeah!

It's back to the old grind tommorrow

I'm having a really bad day

I don't know why, but I feel like I can jump out of my skin.

I'm back from Starved Rock

It's spring break and we decided to take Petunia to the water park at Grizzly Jack`s Grand Bear Resort. We rented a villa ($$$)for 3 days 2 nights. Mr. wasn't feeling very well, but he went along like a trooper. The water park was fun, but a little scary. There were so many little children in the water without a parent. I keep my eyes on Petunia the whole time. We rode the tubes around the lazy river and sat in the hot tub. We even enjoyed the wave pool. There were 2 very large slides that you couldn't see until you got in to slide. I asked about trying one and Petunia said "no way!". They also had a small indoor amusement park with games and rides. There was a wild life show playing and you could take your picture with a baby bear. You guessed it Petunia said "no way!". The resort was great in every way but one. They're located in the middle of no where (Utica, IL) and they didn't have a real restaurant. The amusement park area had snacks and drinks and that was it. We had to keep driving to the nearest town (20min) to get something to eat. All and all it was a great trip and we'll probably to back this summer.

I'm officially on vacation !

I only finished half of my shift. It was slow and I took LWOP (even though I can't afford it). I was dangerously close to telling someone off.

I'm off for 10 days and tomorrow we are going to Starved Rock for 3 days. I'll be back to my soap making when I get back home. I have a terrible problem with procrastination. :-)

I'm almost ready for my first batch of soap

I ordered some different types of color yesterday from http://www.ellensessentials.com. Now all I need to do is get my oils. I still haven't decided what type I will make for my first batch. I've been working feverishly on my Christmas Washcloths for my aunt Jill. I got the best pattern from http://www.krisknits.blogspot.com. Her patterns are great and very reasonably priced. If you are new to knitting like me, all you need to know how to do is a knit and a purl stitch. I'll post some pixs soon.

One more day till spring break!

I currently going through the 5th grade for the second time via my lovely daughter. Even though I'm older, it's harder the second time around. I don't know why??
